Our History

Center for Women is a pro-life pregnancy resource ministry, witnessing the love of Christ by providing counseling, education, and practical assistance.

Center for Women was founded in 1988 with the mission to serve scared, young mothers facing an unplanned pregnancy and empower them to make a life-affirming choice for their child. Since our opening in 1988, Center for Women has served nearly 8,500 individuals. At that time women—some were well-known figures in the community—would come to us wearing hats and sunglasses to hide their identity as they came to us for post-abortion counseling.

Expanding Our Care

In 2009, Center for Women officially became a medical center, which allowed us to better serve the women that come through our doors. This step enabled us to start offering ultrasounds to these women, giving them a chance to see the life growing inside of them.

Since that transition, we have seen 209 women choose life after receiving an ultrasound at Center for Women. That is 209 lives rescued from abortion after giving the mother a chance to see the precious life she is carrying. Since our transition in 2009, we have continued to grow and serve more women and men. In 2009, we provided nine ultrasounds. In 2019, we were able to provide nearly 50 ultrasounds and improve our care with 3D/4D capabilities.

Expanding Our Resources

In 2015, we were able to start our “Dads All In” fatherhood program. We recognized that in order to better serve the young mothers and the child, we had also to consider the other parent. Now we are able to provide resources for men, so they feel prepared, supported, and confident as they enter parenthood.

Reaching More Mothers

In 2019, Center for Women invested in digital marketing services. This investment has made a significant difference in the volume of abortion-minded women we have been able to reach, educate, and serve in the past year. Using digital tactics to reach women seeking abortions and give them the support they need to choose life for their child.
